oh wow...Δ...

Δ = delta = a symbol representing or signifying change

Another year gone by, another style change. Lots of things have been changing around lately, and most of them have been for the better.  I've cut toxic individuals out of my life and made new friends, and, after all these years...I'm a high school senior.
I believe i started this blog when I was a freshman - it's honestly kinda cringy going back and reading my old posts, but like I mentioned before, I think I'm gonna keep em - for old time's sake.
My art style has evolved a ton since last time I've been on here, I'm actually participating in Inktober this year, which is pretty fun, and I'm on my second year of AP art.
Here are some examples I guess? There are still lotsa dragons ahh...

^ these are all dragons I drew on Adobe Illustrator (with a mouse) from the site Flight Rising. I've gotten pretty into it as of late - it's a great community! Check out my profile if you feel like it!

my take on a gengar, also done in Illustrator with a mouse >_<

other happenings:

I've been accepted to a college - and honestly, thank goodness for that, the stress of the applications was astronomical.
Grades are kinda a struggle actually, which I don't appreciate at all, but I guess it's part of life?
I'm currently sick. When will my health return from the war.
I have a turtle named Toodles! Not sure if I mentioned this before or not uh...

anyway, I guess I'll update on here periodically? We'll see.

Look at this cute lil dragon gif I made!

This is the first 'animation' gif I have made. Made on paintbrush with trackpad and this awesome website!

OK so here's what's up

I'm keeping all of my old (crappy) blogposts on here but hopefully over time they'll be covered up by the new ones.
Hopefully.

I wanted to keep my old blogposts on here because I like seeing how much my writing and 'art' style has changed over time, as well as how my personality has evolved. Thanks for dealing with the old stuff.

You may have noticed (if you actually read this blog, which is unlikely,) that I have made several changes, including the blog name, the font, and some aspects of the color and layout. I changed these things to 'evolve' or 'level up' my blog I guess. Last time I really changed things around was in like the 8th or 9th grade, so.

Welcome to Wonderland, I suppose.

they hatin'

Yooo!

It has been, like, ages since I last updated this blog. Was it a year ago? Like two years ago? Who knows.
Anyway, I plan to catch you up on what I've been doing lately.

I am:

  • a junior in high school
  • a big fan of nintendo
  • getting better at art, I'm in AP studio art
  • in AP biology and Biotechnology because why not
  • unable to sleep at night because of insomnia
Also,
  • i randomly got a pet turtle a few days ago
  • i have a 20 gallon aquarium with like a billion fish in it
  • my betta is still alive and is like 4
  • i really enjoy art and writing
  • unfortunately, i did not make the volleyball team this year but will try again next year!
  • i still wear hats all the time
So, yeah! That's pretty much a summary of what I've been up to lately. I still like drawing dragons a lot, FYI.

I also can animate with pixels check this out

I'll be posting more later. Cya for now!

Last Post of the Year

Thanks for reading my blog this year guys. Don't worry, I'll still post, just probably not for school anymore and probably not as often.
I'd like to thank my loyal followers for sticking with me for this long. I'd also like to thank all of my readers...you guys are awesome.
This has been a fun school year, and I'm really looking forward to next year. Hopefully, this blog will live on through the internet for suite some time. If it sinks like the titanic instead, well, at least we had this small bit of fantastical creativity.

It's been fun, you guys, and I'm gonna miss you all.
Thanks for everything!

Just Another Ordinary Day changed by Animals

As well as technology, I really love nature. I always have, and I probably always will. In fact, I'm looking at career options in the Biology field.
Probably the thing I love most about nature is its vast diversity of animals. "It's not like you live in the middle of the woods." You might say, and you're right, I don't. However, my house is right across from a large sagebrush-covered hill (not quite large enough to be classified as a mountain, but pretty close) and I see a wide variety of wildlife (read the text in parentheses if you want to know what kinds of wildlife I see often. If you don't, just skip over the parentheses.).
(((For starters, I see deer, elk, moose, or all three nearly every day.
Now about the predators.
I've never seen a coyote in our neighborhood (or heard of one), but I have had a few close encounters with mountain lions. My dad was once mountain biking and nearly ran into one. Another time, when I was much younger, I was playing in the yard with Nina and thought I saw a deer up on the hill/mountain across from our house. I told Nina to go call Mom so she could see, and by the time Mom had gone outside, it was painfully obvious that this was not a deer.
It was a mountain lion, and probably a sick one, too. They usually don't venture down from the mountains, but this one was actively seeking out Nina and I.
There are lots of smaller animals, too. There are tons of rodents. Field mice, shrews, moles, voles, ground squirrels, chipmunks. Raccoons aren't rodents, but thy still really enjoy raiding my bird feeder at night.
I also have seen a wide variety of birds. There are tons of chickadees, magpies, robins, and blackbirds around, as well as birds of prey such as hawks and eagles.)))
Animals often influence the kind of day I'm having and my mood. When I take the bus home form school, Fuma, my dog, is always outside in the driveway to greet me. She does this adorable little dance thing where she jumps up on her hind paws and paws the air. It's seriously adorable, and her enthusiastic greeting is often the high point of my day.

Le Dog howling and doing the happy dance thingee

Please, take good care of any animals that you see. They have feelings too, you know....

Uniqueness

I've been known to be fairly device-savvy throughout my life. Even when I was young, I enjoyed taking electronics apart and putting them back together. Unlike my little sister and my Mom, I know how to replace batteries and lightbulbs. I know how to tune radios. I can fix most problems on phones and computers in a matter of minutes. My mom always asks for help on her presentations and Powerpoints.
I've always really enjoyed art as well.  Mixing the two mediums, technology and art, was quite difficult at first. I used larger brush stroke sizes and drew more sloppily. I didn't know how to use many of the features that Paintbrush, Photoshop, Flash, and Illustrator possessed.
For example, here's a little example of one of my art things I drew on Paintbrush. It's Tony the Clock from Don't Hug Me I'm Scared 2.

Sorry that was a bit off-topic; I just thought some of you DHMIS fans out there might want to see it.
So anyway, I really like technology. I always have.
I think our generation is gonna make the awesomest grandparents ever.
"Hey Grandma! Can you help me program my iWhatever?"
"Sure thing Tommy! Let me show you a cool trick. Also, do you like cookies?"

I haven't been doing enough illustrations lately.

Don't get me wrong, I love drawing. It's just that I've been really busy lately and my drawings take up a lot of my time.
Mostly the GOOD drawings.
Not ones like these:

Ones like these only take a few minutes:
I DON'T WANNA GO TO RIO

But THIS kind of illustration. These things sometimes take me half an hour or LONGER to complete.
And it's not even finished yet!
