The Gif Debate

Ome of the biggest debates on the internet:

Is the word 'gif' pronounced like Jiff (the peanut butter) or like Gift minus the 't' at the end?

The world may never know, but how about you? If you want, post a comment of what you think the pronunciation of this feared and revered word is.
